GeForce RTX 5070 electricity cost

NVIDIA lists the GeForce RTX 5070 at 250 W Total Graphics Power. That is a graphics-card reference specification, not a whole-PC wall-power measurement. The calculator below models the rest of the system separately.

Reference model only. Rated GPU power is not the same as measured gaming power or whole-PC wall draw. Defaults assume 80% of the GPU's rated power, 150 W for CPU and other components, and 90% PSU efficiency. Adjust the inputs or use a wall-power meter for a better estimate.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 family specifications

Default whole-PC assumptions

80% GPU load + 150 W system load

The reference estimate assumes the GPU averages 80% of rated graphics power, the rest of the PC uses 150 W internally, and the PSU is 90% efficient. These are modeling assumptions, not vendor specifications.

Lower-cost examples

Idaho$5.76

Utah$6.05

Oklahoma$6.24

Higher-cost examples

Hawaii$24.27

California$15.52

New York$13.97

All examples use the same default model: 80% of rated GPU power, 150 W other internal load, 90% PSU efficiency, 4 gaming hours/day, 30 days.

How to get a more realistic GeForce RTX 5070 estimate

Start by matching your actual gaming time. If you know the wall-power draw of your PC from a meter or review measurement, the general Gaming PC Electricity Cost calculator is the most direct option. Otherwise, change GPU utilization and other-system watts here to reflect your workload and CPU.

Do not use the power-supply wattage as electricity consumption. A 650 W PSU recommendation describes capacity headroom for a compatible system; the computer does not continuously draw 650 W.

Formula used

Estimated GPU draw = rated graphics power × GPU-load percentage. Estimated internal system load = GPU draw + other system watts. Estimated wall draw = internal load ÷ PSU efficiency. Monthly energy then equals wall kilowatts × hours/day × days, and electricity cost equals energy × the selected cents-per-kWh rate.
